Spinning Bones LLC (“Spinning Bones”, “we”) runs the restaurant at 1205 Park Street, Alameda, CA 94501 and this website, spinningbones.com. This page says what we collect, why, and who else sees it.

What we collect

• Contact form. Your name, email, phone (if you give it), topic and message. We use them to reply to you.
• Catering orders. Your name, email, phone, the date and time of pickup, guest count, event type, notes and the items you order. We use them to prepare the order and send your invoice.
• Payments. Card payments are taken by Square on Square’s own pages. We never see or store your card number.
• Visit counts. The site counts page views, which sections are read, which links lead off the site and the referring page. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Page views from one visit are grouped with a code worked out from your IP address and browser that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you; the IP address itself is not stored. If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, nothing is counted.

Text messages

The website does not send text messages to customers, and we do not collect phone numbers for texting from this site. Our staff can opt in to receive text alerts about catering orders on their own phones; see our SMS terms.

We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging opt-in data or consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who else sees it

Only the services that run the site and the restaurant on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and email delivery), Google Workspace (our email), and Square (invoices and payments). We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Messages and orders are kept as business records for as long as we need them for the restaurant and for tax purposes. Visit counts are deleted automatically after about 13 months.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@spinningbones.com or calling 510-263-9290. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we honor them for everyone.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
